Sergei Bobrovsky was out of position, but it did not matter.
With his Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning tied 2-2 with a little under six minutes left in the second period of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series Tuesday night, Bobrovsky made an unbelievable save.
While turned, he used the back of his glove to knock away a backhand shot by Lightning defenseman Matt Dumba.
The Panthers had jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Sam Bennett and a power-play marker by Vladimir Tarasenko. But goals by Brayden Point and Steven Stamkos (power play) in the second period tied it for Tampa Bay.
Florida leads the series 1-0.
