The Miami Dolphins wide receiver corps is set to have an embarrassment of riches for the upcoming season. The Dolphins wanted extra firepower for the 2024 season after only scoring seven points in the Divisional round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in January.
The Dolphins were expected to be in the hunt for a wide receiver in the draft’s first round last week. However, the Dolphins chose to build their trenches by taking Chop Robinson in the first round and Patrick Paul in the second. They added wide receiver Malik Washington in the sixth round and Tahj Washington in the seventh round.
On Friday, the Dolphins added another major piece of depth for Tua Tagovailoa to target in the upcoming season.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Dolphins signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $8.25 million. Beckham played for the Baltimore Ravens last season and recorded 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
After sitting out 2022 following knee surgery, Odell Beckham Jr. had 35 catches for 565 yards and three TDs last season in Baltimore. Now he joins one of the NFL's fastest WR rooms on a one-year deal worth up to $8.25M, negotiated by agent Zeke Sandhu of @KlutchSports. https://t.co/BymSPZmNIs

At 31, Beckham has amassed 566 receptions for 7,932 yards and 59 touchdowns in his ten years on the field. He had a gap year in 2022 following knee surgery the year after he won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.
He’ll be another major addition to a locker room that already has Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle running routes for Tua.
